I was paired with another student-teacher to conduct our practicum lessons, ten lessons in total. My first lesson with my student-teacher partner Katie went well. Katie and I always prepared our lessons in advance and had our sponsor teacher revise them in advance which helped us a lot with as far as pre-teaching anxiety is concerned, at least helped erase some of it! Our first lesson was a simple introductory lesson that involved us getting to know the students better and vice-versa. We were placed in an intermediate level reading class so prepared our lesson as best as we could to complement the students’ level and understanding. It was a good start to the rest of the practicum tenure for both of us.
